A message from our CEO

It is clear that the challenge of the Covid-19 Coronavirus is both unprecedented and global in nature and we are all feeling it in both our personal and professional lives.

In common with many organisations, at Solina, our number one priority is the health and safety of our employees and their families and we have taken numerous steps over the past weeks to improve the protection of our people and prevent the spread of the virus, such as improved hygiene practices as well as distancing at our sites. Reflecting the measures taken by the WHO and local governments, our shift patterns have been adjusted, our customer service is working in rotating teams and home working has been established for all employees, where possible.

We also take our central role in the food chains in the countries where we operate very seriously and are doing everything possible to maintain production and meet the increased demands being placed on the supply of food to the populations we serve. All of our sites remain operational and it has been inspiring to see how Solina colleagues, our suppliers as well as our customers have responded to the challenge and we are enormously grateful to everyone for their efforts, flexibility and commitment during these most trying of times.

To manage the business in such a fast moving and unpredictable environment, a global crisis team has been put in place which meets (virtually) on a daily basis. Our long-term relationships with key partners in the industry allow us to continue to be a trusted partner in the food chain, and we do our outmost to maintain a high level of service for our customers as well as support those most seriously affected.

Our business is resilient, and we are confident that, together, we will overcome this. I am also convinced that we will emerge from this with a new strength in our communities and resilience. We are already acting to reinforce our innovative and creative approach towards our customers in particular.

We will keep you informed as the situation evolves.

Yours sincerely,

Anthony Francheterre
CEO Solina Group
